Something about running

I started up running again, it's been at least 2 years that I have stuck to it consistently as I am now again. I actually have my first race this Sunday. My first since before I was pregnant with Jenna, so that's 3 1/2 years ago. I'm so excited it's only a 5K...3.1 miles but it helps me kick start my goals. There is something about running that clears my mind and I feel like I rely on God. I usually use that time praying, and when I feel like want to give up I swear He gives me that push I need to finish. When I do run though my eating changes dramatically. Not on purpose but kind of a side affect. I usually end up cutting out all white flour, sugar, and some type of processed food. Again not really on purpose but I feel a difference in my training when I do. Of course a lot of weight starts to some off as another wonderful side affect, and trust me do I have enough to lose. Well today I tried a couple of recipes for sweets that are healthy....trust me after reading the ingredients they are super clean and healthy so taste does not compare to normal sweets, but they are also a wonderful treat when you need a little something. I got them from one of my favorite magazines. It's called Clean Eating. I'll make sure to post a link if you are interested. So here you go.
