You are what you eat.....spiritually
Have you ever heard the saying, “You are what you eat?” The same principle is true in our spiritual lives. Our ears and eyes are the gates to our soul. What we watch, what we listen to, and who we associate with are constantly feeding and influencing our inner man, which in turn, influences our actions and destiny.
Psalm 119:37 says, “Keep me from paying attention to worthless things.” David said in Psalm 101:3, “I will set before me no vile thing.” Today more than ever, we have opportunities to feed our minds with the wrong thing. Everywhere we turn, there is information trying to influence us. But Ephesians 4:27 says, “Do not give the enemy a foothold. “ A door of opportunity is opened when we allow negative influences in our lives. What seems as harmless entertainment, a compromising TV show, or a negative song choice eventually influences your thought life. Thoughts lead to actions and actions determine your destiny. Spend time building yourself up, not wasting your time with activities that can tear you down. You are a temple of the Most High God - called, appointed and anointed to do great things. Do your best to keep your temple pure and be selective with what you feed your spirit. As you do your part, God will take you places that you have never imagined. You will reach your full potential and become everything God has created you to be. Feed yourself God's word, meditate on it. Listen to uplifting music, and songs with a positive message. Turn off the tv instead of watching the reality shows, the anti family shows, turn away from the magazines at check out stands that are meant to destroy people instead of encourage. Do not allow the scale to determine your mood, but remind yourself of who you are in Christ, and that you have the victory through Him. I challenge you for 1 week do the above and you will see, and feel an amazing difference. What are you feeding yourself?

Wacky tip for wednesday
Remember these
The Silly Bandz that all kids including mine were crazy about. Kids had them climbing up their arms, I actually saw one boy with so many they reached his elbow (crazy). Well I don't know if kids are still crazy about them, but because my kids are home the craze lasted about 2 minutes in our house. So now when vacuuming I run into these bandz all over, hiding here and there. I was gong to throw them out but decided to throw them in a junk drawer instead. Well one day I was braiding my daughters hair and forgot to get elastic to tie the bottom atlas I remember hey I have this drawer next to me full of silly bandz, why not give a try. Well they are great. Wouldn't advise using it on large amounts of hair like a pony tail but to tie the end of the braid well I think I got a winner winner chicken dinner. Here is my Beanie baby modeling below our new hair silly bandz.

You are valuable
We had a ladies luncheon with a out of state speaker. She gave these cards out that honestly I loved. I wanted to share with you. On days you feel that you could use a reminder of how God, the creator of this world sees you I hope this will bring a smile to your face.
*I am Valuable because I am created in God's class of being.
*I am Vital because God's plan involves me.
*My Heritage is to have God's best, to enjoy His companionship and to use His wealth and power for the good of myself and others.
*I am Created for life, love, power, prosperity, success, and dignity.
*The Seeds of Greatness are in me, God never created me to be a nobody, but a real somebody
*I therefore recognize my self-value that God designed me for His lifestyle and I now know that He planned life's Best for me as His child
*I shall no longer discredit or demean or destroy what God created in His own image and values so much.
*I welcome God's friendly voice. He reminds me of my divine origin of my high purpose, and of His love plan to help me achieve, enjoy and share His best in life
Keep in mind that I believe the greatest high calling is being a wife and mother, and that no one should make you feel inadequate in that role, nor that you can't change the world in that role. I know that in that role you just as much as a missionary can in a far land. So hold fast and do not allow other women tell you that your role is lacking or boring. We as older women need to teach the younger women GOOD THINGS! What are these GOOD THINGS? To love your husband, love your children, be keepers at home, etc. (Titus 2:3-5). As you seek to manage your home efficiently and nurture and train your children today, you are doing a GOOD THING! It's not a boring thing. It's not an insignificant thing. It is a GOOD THING! And Ephesians 6:8 says,"Whatever GOOD THING each one does, this he will receive back from the Lord." What a beautiful promise. We don't look for rewards, but God's law is that we reap what we sow. As you joyfully do these GOOD THINGS in your home, they will boomerang back on you. You will reap God's blessings (1 Corinthians 15:58). You will not lose. You will win. So on days you need that little reminder please come back and read above to yourself, and remind yourself that God's thinks you are precious.
