Trusting...trusting...um trusting?

Yesterday the kiddos, myself and my mom in law went out to take Jenna shopping at the Disney store for her birthday. So while driving there my van which has been making some crazy noises for a while now, and we know that it needs a radiator because our leaks but to plain honest we just don't have the cash to fix it, so we waited. Well while driving yesterday we broke down 3 times. First seriously I thank God I wasn't alone with kiddos, and that MIL was with me. The first time we broke down near the Water Dept, which was funny considering we overheated and needed water. So MIL walked across the street to fill up our jug with water at the water dept. Got to the mall Grammy took Jenna shopping, then time to go home. Started off and broke down again, pulled over the side of the road, MIL stayed with the kids while a walk a little over a mile to the little store we had passed to by more water and oil and walked back....(by the way while we were broke down NO ONE stopped to help nice world we are living in) tended to the van then again headed home. Then again we broke down at least we weren't way to far from home and my sweet neighbor who is a cop found us just finishing up tending to the van. He followed us home to make sure we made it then he was off. We walked into our home and I just about kissed my kitchen floor....and just about set my van on fire. So now we wait...wait on the Lord. We either buy a new van (which we don't have the money for) or spend the thousands of dollars to get our van fixed (when repairs cost more then the actually worth of the van, and we don't have the money for) So what do we do? Well we are put in a challenge to see how long we can go without a family car and if we are really going to trust God to provide. My spirit says yes but boy does my flesh scream wait a minute...what about....
Sure we have Mike's little car but we don't all fit, so we be making do with what we have and trusting God.
Stayed tuned to see how we actually do with this challenge and how God comes through.

A conversation with my superhero

Isn't amazing when a child puts things into perceptive. My oldest (6 years old) climbs into my bed this morning ready to seize the day. While we are doing our morning cuddle, he looks at my belly and says "Momma when is Asher coming out?" I then reply " I don't know baby, any day this week or Monday when he's ready" He then looks at me with his beautiful big eyes and says "Are you going to miss being pregnant?" Which makes me stop and think I have been so caught up in being anxious for our newest little sugarpie to arrive that I didn't give it any thought. I do love being pregnant, I love the whole thing about it. I love feeling the little peanut moving, I love that I am it's only source of nutrition, it relies on me. I love that special connection I feel because for 9 months they are completely mine. I even love giving birth. I love going in and the excitement of any moment I will be meeting that little person who God made specifically for our family. That I will be tenderly kissing those little elbows and knees that made their way into ribs and bladder. The entire process is always a miracle. While in my thought Colby just looks at me again and then says "Don't worry mom, when Asher is a little bigger you'll just get pregnant again, and then after that and after that" In which I stop him and ask "How many do you think we are having?" Colby then rolls his eyes and says "That's easy mom we are going to have 10, we are going to have an awesome big family"
Dear handsome hubby, since I know you frequent my blog I want you to know that I did not coax Colby into saying any of the above....But maybe just maybe he's a prophet. In any case strap on those boots God is about to take us on adventure.

So it has begun

That point in the preganancy that everyone one feels perfectly fine giving their two cents. From "My you are huge, and your having twins right, or haven't you had the baby yet well I ate spicy food and went right into labor. Best yet is when they (who you barely know) say go home and have sex and baby will be out in no time. To them I know you mean well, but this is my 4th full term baby and with the first 2 took everyones advise and ate, drank, walked, drove over bumpy roads, and attacked my husband to full lengths, and nothing worked and actually became late by 2/1 weeks. So with my wonderful little Asher who has decided to take his time upon arriving, is not due till monday the 22nd, I am not doing anything out of the ordinary to encourage him to come out except my normal activity. He will be here soon enough and well quite honest it is beautiful out and I want to enjoy it to the max with my other 3 little cupcakes before getting cooped up in a hospital bed.
