Life Abundant?



What is life? Whether you are a believer or non believer life is still the same. Life is paying your bills, taking care of your spouse, raising your children, it's going through a misscarriage, it watching your father almost die in front of you, it's taxes, a boss to put up with, it's waiting results from health tests done on your child, decisions to make daily, Life is a series of emotions, a mountain before the valley. Christ came to give you life; life more abundant. If I could sum up the christian life experience into one word it wouldn't be joyful, nor victorious, not sad, or depressing even though I have felt all that at one moment in time no I would describe it as "interesting" never a dull moment in my walk with Christ. If you want a boring life then I highly recommend you don't ever accept Christ, but if you want an interesting life that when you sit back and reflect you are amazed what you have seen and done then come to Christ. When you heart is broken He promises to mend it. When you are going through a dry valley and never see an end He will lead you through. When you rejoice He rejoices with you. For every season in your life He will be there with you, and to be honest the greatest ride is when you allow Him to reign...or better yet lead the path for your life He will not disappoint, instead He'll give you the greatest ride ever. He gives you a heart for the brokenhearted, gives you a light for the ones in darkness, give you arms for the forgotton, give you love for humanity. So I have discovered that a spiritual journey is a a lot like a poem. You don't merely recite a poem or analyze it intellectually. You dance it, sing it, cry it, feel it on your skin and in your bones. You move with it and feel it's caress. It falls on you like a teardrop or wraps around you like a smile. It lives in the heart and body as well as the spirit and the head." So are you living life to the fullest...better yet is it the world's standards or God's?

Menu Monday

Monday: Hamburg with green pepper and wine sauce, ziti, green beans, and fresh tomatoes with salt and pepper

Tuesday: Grilled steak tips, with rice, green beans, sauted mushrooms

Wednesday: Cheeseburgers on the grill, scalloped potatoes, and corn on the cob

Thursday: Creamy Italian chicken, with vermicelli pasta, and salad

Friday: Salisbury steak with mashed potatoes, and salad

Saturday: We'll be eating out in New Hampshire

Sunday: Grilled chicken, rice, corn and green beans

Some are new recipes so after I make them I will post if they make the cut ;0)

My husband is wonderful

My wonderful husband knows that I love toile, transfer plates. I started collecting them this year and am becoming obsessed with them. Yesterday my husband came home from work with a new addition for me. It is beautiful. The picture doesn't give it justice but believe me it is beautiful. So I will share my small but beloved collection. The top one is the new one my wonderful hubby bought me. Thank you my love.

While in church the other day....

ON Sunday during worship time we sang old songs from our forefathers about our country. The songs that remind you (even though people resist) our country was founded on the BIble, and the faith in God. God Bless America, Our Country Tis Of Thee, and many more. I started crying thinking of the status of our country today and thought how far off we have gone, and how unfortunately we have abused the favor that God placed on our country. Then today I read an email that described Billy Graham prayer over our beautiful country and see that I am not alone in my thinking and how true he is. I will cut and paste the part that moved me and I believe that is the state of our country. I know that many of you will not agree with me....but I am using my chance of free speech to hold fast to what this country was truely founded on.

Enjoying a summer day

I babysit my great friends son, but now that her daughter is out of school I have also started babysitting her daughter too. So what to do with 5 kiddos ready to tear apart my house. Well plan an all day playfest outside. Water guns, pool, playset, tents, and sandboxes...busy little bees.

I prefer simplier times

Emancipation of women has made them lose their mystery.
