Awww my daddy loves me...

My dad knows I love fruit...so much...I could honestly live off the stuff. Anyways he went to the market and notices blackberries were on sale for 99 cents...so he bought me some. Trust me they will be gone within two days.. mmmmmmm

It was a tough Tuesday yesterday

My smallest princess Sadie was not feeling well all day, and threw up all day. So needless to say she was attached to my hip on one side with a bucket on the otherside. I did have a chance to have school with my son, when baby was sleeping. After that though my super hero and other princess got a little bored....sooo toilet paper to the rescue.

Me: Hey kiddos since you guys are pretending to be spiderman and spidergirl do you want me to wrap you up in webs?

Spiderman: how spidermom?

me: well look, I'll wrap you up in webs then you can break free

spiderman: oh wow spidermom...that's an awesome idea

me: phew good...here you go

spiderman: spidermom your the coolest

me: I know ;0)


Then my littlest princess worn out from puking fell asleep on my lap.

Quick blueberry muffins

I needed some comfy food, considering I had been cleaning up throw up all day. I needed something for snacks for the kiddos. Going through my blogs that I enjoy reading somewhere I came across this quick recipe...tried it and was pretty pleased. Great with a glass of milk.

Bisquick Blueberry Muffins
2 C Bisquick
1/3 C Sugar
1 egg
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
2/3 C Milk
3/4 C Blueberries

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Combine all ingredients in large bowl with spoon (do not use a mixer) except blueberries. Once mixture is wet, it will still have small lumps, fold in blueberries.

Place muffin liners in standard size muffin pan. Fill each cup 2/3 of the way full. Bake for 13-18 minutes or until tops are lightly browned. Remove from oven and let since in pan for 2 minutes. Remove and let cool on wire rack.

p.s don't you just love milk in glass containers...so cute.

Coffee marshmallow parfait

Oh my I don't know if I read this somewhere or I'm just a culinary genius. I would love to believe the latter but well you know.

So here is the coffee marshmallow parfait

* a package of marshmallows...i used mini's

* 1 cup double strength coffee

* 1 cup of cool whip

* 1/2 cup of crumbled oreos...I used the strawberry smoothie oreo's (p.s they are amazing dipped in milk.)


In a medium saucepan combine the marshmallows and coffee. Cook and stir until marshmallows are melted. Chill till partially set. Fold in cool whip into mixture chill again. Then in parfait glasses make 3 layers of coffee mixture, then crumbled cookies . Chill then top off with cool whip and enjoy....warning very rich but yummy

Every woman longs..but where do you get your longing fullfilled?

As much as we conceal and cover up, women long to be uncovered, discovered, and known. As much as we run and hide, we have a deeper longing to be found. Every woman on the face of the earth wants to be pursued and embraced passionately. What an incredibly strong longing! This is the one that drives us to romantic movies, romantic novels, but lets face it, these stir up our longings but they don't come anywhere close to meeting them. I mean half of the time they are written by women! No one knows how to identify a woman's longing like another woman. Women can create men who will speak our language and meet every need. But these men don't exist. That's not saying there aren't wonderful godly men out there, there are and I'm married to one, but they are still going to fall short from fantasy. Even the Godliest men fall short I'm willing to bet that Billy Graham could not meet his wife's every need. So I feel we are set up by those romance writers. They cast men in a role only God can fill, and it's no wonder I see many women walk away disappointed in their husbands. So unless you can get your husband to live out a romance novel, or only speak to you romantic movie quotes then you are plum out of luck. There are places in you that your relationship can't touch. If you're a woman, this is the case. You're going to have to face to some degree your unmet longing to be known. I am married to a amazing man. I am convinced that he is who God intended just for me, and I love him beyond words could express, but I also still have this longing that he can not fulfill and never will. Because no matter how much he knows me, there is still more to know, more to embrace. So the yearning continues and it calls me to look upward. To the only One who can satisfy my longing and desire to be wanted, loved, needed, known more intimately then a man could ever do. So I ask you to do the same thing...escape from life in a romantic movie or novel is fine once in a while but do you run to it? Do you wish you lived in that fantasy world? Instead of running to your fantasy run to the one who knows you and can fulfill that need for fantasy, that longing that you have, because God placed that need that longing in you but He designed it for Him to be the one to "complete you".
